POCO C55, budget phone with 50-megapixel camera launched in India

POCOC55

POCO expands its C-series portfolio with the C55. Powered by MediaTek Helio G85, the POCO C55 comes in 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB options. It also supports microSD cards for storage expansion. The POCO C55 has a 6.71-inch HD+ display. The phone has an IP52 rating, which provides limited dust ingress and protection from water spray less than 15 degrees from vertical.

In terms of imaging capabilities, POCO C55 features a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera is 5-megapixel. The POCO C55 offers records videos at 1080p and 720p @ 30fps. Since this is a budget smartphone, there is nothing to write home about. There is the presence of a rear fingerprint sensor. A gripe that we have is that the POCO C55 comes with Android 12 out of the box, while most phones now come with Android 13.

POCO C55 comes with a 5000mAh battery and supports 10W charging. POCO C55 is available in 3 colours, Forest Green, Cool Blue, and Power Black. POCO C55 will be available on Flipkart starting 28 February in 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB at Rs. 9,499 and Rs. 10,999, respectively.
