POCO launches X5 Pro powered by Snapdragon 778G

POCO X5 Pro 5G
POCO launched a new phone in its X-series, the POCO X5 Pro 5G. Successor to the POCO X4 Pro 5G, POCO X5 Pro 5G is powered by Snapdragon 778G processor and features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display that supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. The smartphone’s 10-bit display provides more than 1 billion colours and has a 120Hz refresh rate. POCO X5 Pro 5G also supports hi-res audio and hi-res audio wireless.

POCO X5 Pro’s display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and with an IP53 rating, it is splash resistant too.

In terms of cameras, POCO X5 Pro comes with a 108-megapixel primary camera sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens with 120 FOV and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. POCO X5 Pro 5G supports 4K recording @ 30fps and makes video recording fun with some exciting video modes such as short video, slow motion, Vlog mode (6 new modes for budding content creators), and Pro-video, to name a few. Completing the camera setup is the 16-megapixel snapper producing exceptional results by ensuring natural-looking selfies.

POCO X5 Pro 5G comes with a 5000mAh battery and supports 67W fast charging. In terms of 5G connectivity, It supports 7 relevant 5G bands and works across all Indian carriers. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

A gripe that we have is that the POCO X5 Pro 5G runs on Android 12, while Android 13 is already out. However, it comes with the latest MIUI 14.

Available in two storage variants, 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB, POCO X5 Pro 5G is priced at Rs. 22,999 and Rs. 24,999, respectively. It will be available via Flipkart at an exciting price of Rs. 20,999 and Rs. 22,999, respectively, during the Special Early Access Sale.
