Looks like India is seeing a surge in low-cost tablets. After Reliance and Mercury outed their versions of tablet PCs, iBall has come up with iBall Slide. It’s a 7-inch WVGA tablet that runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, 3G support via USB dongle and features 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 8GB internal memory, HDMI-out, 2MP camera and 4400mAh battery.
The tablet is priced at Rs.13,995 but it seems a tad expensive if you compare it with Mercury’s mTab that goes under Rs.10,000.
