Amazon Launches New Fire TV Stick HD in India

Amazon has launched a new Fire TV Stick HD in India, priced at Rs. 4,999. The updated streaming stick delivers, on average, over 30% faster performance than its predecessor and is 30% slimmer than other sticks in the Fire TV range.

It supports full HD streaming with HDR10+, Bluetooth 5.3, and Wi-Fi 6. It can draw power directly from a TV’s USB port, removing the need for a separate wall adapter.

Amazon has also refreshed the Fire TV interface with a redesigned home screen that organises content into dedicated categories for movies, TV shows, free, and live programming.

For the first time on a Fire TV HD device, users can access Xbox cloud-enabled games by pairing a compatible Bluetooth controller. The stick ships with an Alexa Voice Remote with voice command support and pre-set app buttons.

The Fire TV Stick HD is available now on Amazon.in, Blinkit, Flipkart, Swiggy Instamart, and Zepto with retail store availability at a later date.
