Microsoft has unveiled two special edition products to mark 25 years of Xbox: the Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition console and the Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition.
Inspired by the look of the original Xbox console, the Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition brings a translucent finish to the Series X hardware for the first time. It retains the standard Series X internals, including 1TB of storage. Design details include an “X” that lights up in green at startup, an Xbox 25th Anniversary logo on the front panel, and references to classic Xbox hardware across the body.
The Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition matches the console’s translucent OG Green. Its bumpers reference the original “Duke” controller’s black and white buttons, and the back case and battery door are fully transparent, exposing the classic Xbox logo. The ABXY buttons carry their original colours.
Microsoft says the console and controller will be available together as a limited edition bundle in select markets in November. The controller will also be sold separately. Pricing and preorder details will be revealed soon.
