Carol Bartz has been fired as the CEO of online giant Yahoo! The news has been confirmed by Bartz who says the removal decision came to her by the Chairman of the Board via a phone call. Meanwhile, Yahoo!’s Board has appointed Timothy Morse who is the CFO will take the role of an interim CEO.
The Board is also commencing a search for a permanent CEO.
