Asus has announced BW-12D1S-U external Blu-ray writer that takes the crown to be the world’s fastest Blu-ray writer. The writer can burn Blu-ray discs at up to 12X and supports USB 3.0 interface, which makes data transmission faster.

Boasting a diamond-shaped design, the writer also features Magic Cinema Technology that helps to convert 2D content to 3D with a touch of a button, DVD upscaling, Dolby Digital EX and DTS-HD support.
