iPhone 4

Looks like Apple iPhone’s latest iteration might be faster than iPad. Although both devices have the same processor, iPhone 4 will pip iPad in terms of RAM. Macrumors says the iPhone 4 has 512MB of RAM, which is double than that of iPhone 3GS or even iPad. iPad is currently the fastest iOS (formerly iPhone OS) running device.

Apple’s decision to have additional RAM makes sense since iOS 4 is feature-packed and would want the device to run all the features smoothly. This also explains why iMovie will only run on iPhone 4 and not the iPad.
