WD announces aluminum encased My Book Studio LX for Mac

Western Digital has launched a new external hard drive for Mac users that not only performs but also looks good. The My Book Studio LX HDDs come in an aluminum enclosure and integrate a FireWire 800 port for faster data transfer in addition to a USB 2.0 port.
The pre-formatted HFS+ drives also boasts continuous backup with WD SmartWare software, Time Machine sync support, 256-bit hardware based encryption and a small e-ink display that shows your HDD’s storage status or any other personalized message even when the HDD is not connected.
The My Book Studio LX will come in 1TB and 2TB capacities and will be priced at $199.99 and $269.99 respectively.
