Sony intros E and B Series Walkman players

Sony unveiled two new Walkman players for budget conscious music enthusiasts. The E440 Series players are slim and light Walkman PMPs aimed at the first time digital media adopters. The player comes in a thin shell (just 9.3mm) and features a 2-inch QVGA LCD screen, Clear Audio technology, Equalizer, FM Radio tuner and recorder and battery life of 30 hours when on music or about 6 hours for video.

On the other hand, B140 Series players try to give Walkman sound quality in a small form factor. The no-frills player features drag-and-drop file transfers, ZAPPIN music search, FM Tuner with recording function and playback of up to 90 minutes on a 3 minute charge or up to 18 hours on a full battery charge.
Both the Walkman players will start retailing from the end of this month.
