After being sighted couple of times in the past few weeks, Sony has made its S540 Walkman player official. The first Walkman with integrated speakers, S540 packs a 2.4-inch LCD, FM Radio, voice recorder, Digital Linear Phase Speaker System to enhance loudspeaker music quality, iTunes support and video codec support comprising of H.264/AVC/MP4/WMV formats.
S540’s battery life is rated at 42 hours while listening from earphones or 17 hours via speakers and up to 6.5 hours of video.
Sony is also selling E440K which is an all in one kit consisting of the E440 player along with dock that boasts the Digital Linear Phase Speaker System to enhance audio quality. Users can listen to music by powering the dock with an AC adaptor or gives up to 10 hours of music when utilizing the dock’s internal battery.
The S540 will be available from September while the E440K kit will start selling from October.
