Fujitsu to exit HDD Head Business

Fujitsu has announced that they will shut down its HDD head manufacturing business on March 31, 2009. The exact reason is unknown but Fujitsu states it as a part of their broader strategic plan of the HDD business.
The HDD business as a whole is uncertain at the moment but Fujitsu has promised to shift all the employees (approx. 350) from the HDD heads division to other divisions within the Fujitsu Group.
