Western Digital today announced its top of the shelf hard drive – WD Black for Indian desktops. The 3.5-inch WD Black HDD now comes in capacity of 4TB and offers faster spin speed required for gaming, workstations and other applications.
WD Black spins at 7200RPM and supports SATA III 6Gbps interface and 64MB cache. Additionally, the drive boasts dual actuator technology which is a head positioning system with two actuators that helps to improve positional accuracy over the data track. Furthermore, it comes with IntelliSeek that calculates speed to lower power consumption, StableTrac for reduction in vibration and NoTouch ramp load technology that keeps the recording head from touching the disk media.
The 4TB WD Black WD4001FAEX comes with a 5-year limited warranty and is priced at Rs. 21,000 excluding taxes.
