Qualcomm announces Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 mobile platform

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. unveiled the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Mobile Platform, extending top-tier 8 series capabilities to a wider range of Android flagship smartphones. Key highlights of the latest premium-tier platform include robust support for on-device generative AI features, an always-sensing Image Signal Processor (ISP), hyper-realistic mobile gaming, groundbreaking connectivity, and lossless high-definition audio. The platform boasts compatibility with a diverse range of AI models, encompassing popular large language models (LLM) such as Baichuan-7B, Llama 2, Gemini Nano, and Zhipu ChatGLM.

Snapdragon 8s 3 Summary

Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 will be adopted by key OEMS including Honor, iQOO, realme, Redmi and Xiaomi with the first device expected to be announced in March. To start with, Xiaomi will come up with Civi 4 Pro powered by this processor and iQOO with the Z9 Turbo in China.
