OnePlus launches Q1 and Q1 Pro Smart TVs in India

Alongside OnePlus 7T, OnePlus also announced its Smart TVs, the 55-inch QLED Q1 and Q1 Pro. Smart TV market in India is already heated up with Motorola and Xiaomi launching their TVs at aggressive pricing. The Q1 and Q1 Pro based on QLED panel are pricier than the competition at Rs. 69,900 and Rs. 99,900 respectively.

In terms of design, TVs sport a slim unified profile and very thin bezels. The 4K QLED panel of OnePlus TVs support Dolby Vision and HDR10+. In terms of sound, the TV has 50W 8-speaker setup for the powerful cinematic sound experience. There are 4 full-range front-facing speakers, 2 front-facing tweeters for the highs and 2 rear subwoofers for the bass.

Both the TVs run on Android and come with OxygenOS TV. The TVs also support Google Assistant and Alexa, for voice-assisted controls. The TVs can also be controlled with OnePlus Connect app via your smartphone. One can switch apps, search, control volume and take screenshots using the app.

The pricing difference in the OnePlus Q1 and Q1 Pro is because OnePlus Q1 Pro comes with the sliding soundbar whereas OnePlus Q1 only features a standard soundbar. The Q1 Pro also comes bundled with OnePlus Dock however, you can additionally purchase the OnePlus Dock for OnePlus TV Q1 as an accessory. The last difference is the 8 speaker unit on Q1 Pro while Q1 has a 4 speaker unit.

In terms of apps, the TVs comes pre-installed with OxygenPlay, Prime Video, YouTube, Google Play Movies, Hotstar, ErosNow, Zee5, Hungama and SonyLiv. Additional apps can be downloaded from the Google Play Store on the TV. Also, Netflix is not pre-installed and is not supported. Last but not least, the OnePlus TV remote looks amazing with its minimalistic design, it also comes with a dedicated Amazon Prime Video button for quick access.

The OnePlus TVs will be available on Amazon India and OnePlus.in from 28 September with cashback offers. Consumers purchasing the OnePlus TV on Amazon.in will be entitled to get Rs. 5,000 Amazon Pay cashback and additional instant discount of Rs. 2,000 for purchases made through SBI debit and credit cards. Starting 5th October 2019, consumers can avail an instant discount of Rs. 4,000 on purchase of the OnePlus TV 55Q1 and Rs. 5,000 instant discount on the purchase of the OnePlus TV 55Q1 Pro using HDFC Bank debit and credit cards.
