Sony introduces wireless speakers with party chain and party lights

April 17, 2017 By Anish Leave a Comment

Sony India has expanded its EXTRA BASS series with the inclusion of four new portable wireless speakers – SRS-XB40, SRS-XB30, SRS-XB20 and the SRS-XB10. All of the newly launched speakers can be connected with one-touch and can stream music with NFC and Bluetooth connectivity. The speakers are portable and can be carried around without the worry of water as these wireless speakers are IPX5 splash proof.

The SRS-XB40 features club-like lighting effects with a LED perimeter line-light, a strobe flash, and speaker light. The line-light creates multicolor patterns, ranging from pure white to the rainbow. Synchronizing with the rhythm of the beat, the power and speed of the light display match the music’s mood and atmosphere. The SRS-XB30 has a similar multicolour line-light and strobe, and the SRS-XB20 features a single colour line-light which compliments the speaker colour.

The highlight of these speakers are that using a wireless party chain, speakers can be connected to each other for a performance featuring synchronized lights and great sound. Up to 10 units can be interconnected via Bluetooth (mix and match the SRS-XB40/XB30/XB20 models) and used interactively. It is also possible to pair two speakers of the same model together to enjoy stereo sound. The stereo mode takes advantage of two independent audio channels in order to create the impression of sound being heard from various directions, similar to natural hearing.

One can control the settings of the speaker with the Music Center mobile application on the smartphone. The app becomes like a remote control for these Bluetooth speakers.

Thanks to a long battery life of up to approximately 16 hours, with SRS-XB10 it is possible to keep the party going all night long and well into the next day. SRS-XB20, on the other hand, offers up to 12 hours of battery life. Whereas SRS-XB40, SRS-XB30 have a more long standing battery life of up to 24 hours.

The SRS-XB40 is priced at Rs. 13,990, the SRS-XB30 for Rs. 9,990, the SRS-XB20 for Rs. 6,990 and the XB10 wireless speakers will retail for Rs. 3,590. These speakers will be available from 25th April 2017.
