Samsung unveils the Galaxy J7 Prime and J5 Prime

Galaxy J 7 Prime and J5 Prime
Adding to the J series line of phones, Samsung unveiled the J7 Prime and J5 Prime. These are dual-SIM 4G/LTE phones with unibody and 2.5D Gorilla glass protection. The Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy J5 Prime sports a 5.5-inch full HD display and 5-inch HD display respectively.

The Galaxy J7 Prime features octa-core processor, 3GB RAM and 16GB Internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. On the other hand, the Galaxy J5 Prime features quad-core processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB Internal storage (expanded up to 256GB externally). Both phones also feature fingerprint sensors .

Samsung has provided two features that it calls the ‘Make for India’ Innovations – S Power Planning and S Secure. The S Power Planning has three features – ‘Reserve battery for calls’ which enables the user to allocate a certain percentage of the battery for calls & messages, ‘Extend Battery time’ which allows user to extend the usage time of the phone up to twice the current available time and ‘Fwd calls when no battery’ wherein the user can forward the calls to a selected contact or any number when the phone runs out of battery.

S Secure, addresses the users concerns on security and privacy via three features – ‘Lock and hide apps’ which allows users to hide or lock applications, ‘Secure Folder’ where the user can store files for increased privacy & security and ‘Secure Wi-Fi’ which enables consumers to browse worry free especially on a public Wi-Fi by encrypting data which is being transferred.

In terms of camera, the Galaxy J7 Prime sports a 13-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front camera, while the Galaxy J5 Prime has a 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front camera.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime is available for Rs.18,790 and J5 Prime for Rs.14,790. Galaxy J7 Prime is available in the market now and Galaxy J5 Prime will be available by end of September’16. Both the models are available in two colours – Gold and Black.

Customers of Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy J5 Prime on the Vodafone Network will get additional 9GB of data, when they recharge with a data pack of 1GB or above. Customers can avail of this benefit for 3 recharges or over 3 months.
