Gionee has plussed its S series of smartphones with the introduction of the S Plus. Although the phone emphasises on the style factor, Gionee has made sure to add some features that are unheard of at this price point. At Rs. 16,999, the S Plus is the cheapest smartphone to have USB Type-C support. What’s more is the new USB interface also supports fast charging, which was grossly missing from a more expensive OnePlus 2. Additionally, it features 3D vibration, Rumble effect and Immersive touch.
The S Plus runs Amigo 3.1 based on Android 5.1 and comes with a 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 1.3GHz octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 5.5-inch HD AMOLED display, 4G LTE and Dual SIM support, 13 megapixel camera with LED flash, a 5 megapixel selfie camera on the front and 3150mAh battery.
The phone will go on sale from this week in colour options of Dark Blue, White and Golden.
