Google Fitbit Air Launched: Price in India, Availability, and Specifications

May 8, 2026 By News Team Leave a Comment

Google Fitbit Air

Google’s latest entry into the wearable market, the Fitbit Air, was officially announced on May 7, 2026, marking a strategic shift toward screenless hardware. Unlike previous models, this device lacks a display and instead functions as a 12-gram sensor-heavy “pebble” that syncs all data to the updated Google Health app. The device focuses on continuous biometric monitoring, including heart rate, skin temperature, and blood oxygen (SpO2) levels, utilizing the absence of a screen to achieve a seven-day battery life. This design choice positions the Fitbit Air within a specific niche of the market that prioritizes background data collection over active digital interaction, integrating directly with Google’s Gemini-powered AI health coach for data analysis and recovery recommendations.

For the Indian market, the Fitbit Air price is expected to sit between Rs.8,400 and Rs.9,999 for the standard edition, while a special edition version to be priced at approximately Rs. 12,000 although the details are sketchy right now and should be revealed closer to the global launch.

This product launch reflects a broader transition as Google integrates Fitbit more deeply into its own health ecosystem. By removing the interface from the wrist, the Fitbit Air targets users who may already use a traditional watch or simply prefer to review their metrics via a smartphone. The device’s success in the region will likely depend on how well the Indian audience adapts to a tracker that trades visual feedback for a more discreet, long-term monitoring experience.

The Google FitBit Air Band comes in three band types as below –

Performance Loop Band: Made from recycled materials, this band is micro-adjustable for a flexible, breathable fit. It comes standard with every Fitbit Air in-box and is available in a variety of shades for a subtle look or pop of color.

Active Band: Sweatproof, wetproof silicone is perfect for high-intensity training and can withstand the elements. Its subtle ribbed design adds sporty flair in vibrant hues to match your athletic look.

Elevated Modern Band: Discreetly smart and distinctly stylish, this band transforms your device from a fitness tracker into a fashionable bracelet with classic colors that blend with any style.
