Consumers looking for an affordable SSD can take a look at Kingston’s new SSDNow V200 Series. The new series from Kingston is touted to be cheaper and twice as fast than its previous V100 Series SSDs. Supporting SATA Rev 3.0 6Gb/s, the V200 Series SSDs come in sizes of 64GB. 128GB and 256GB and boasts a sequential read / write speed of up to 300 / 230 MB/s.

Kingston will sell the V200 SSD as a standalone drive or as an upgrade kit consisting of the SSD, a cloning software, SATA and power cables and 3.5-inch mounting brackets or 2.5-inch external enclosure.
