Why a feature phone will need a fast 1GHz processor is unknown to us but apparently Nokia has elaborate plans for its upcoming Series 40 feature phone. According to a tweet from a Nokia manager, the Finnish giant at Nokia Connections in Singapore will reveal a Series 40 phone with a 1GHz CPU. If this is true, the new phone will be faster than Nokia’s current high-end N8 and E7 phones.

Additional details revealed by the executive is the integration of 512MB RAM, QWERTY keyboard, 3G, Wi-Fi and even a ClearBlack Display.

The Nokia Connection starts from tomorrow alongside CommunicAsia 2011.
