LG Electronics has teamed up with Wikitude to provide the world’s first three-dimensional AR browser for its Optimus 3D phone.

Unlike 2D AR browsers, the app from Wikitude allows users to see the objects in three-dimension, thus improving “interaction and engagement with real-time user environments.”

Wikitude 3D provides information on more than 100m places around the world in 12 different languages. The app will be available for free from middle of June on LG’s application store.

LG Optimus 3D on the other hand will arrive in Europe in summer followed by rest of the markets.
