Microsoft files complaint against Motorola for patent infringement

Microsoft has filed a complaint with the International Trade Commission (ITC) and U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington against Motorola for infringement of patents. Microsoft claims Motorola’s Android phones infringes nine of its patents related to “smartphone user experience, including synchronizing email, calendars and contacts, scheduling meetings, and notifying applications of changes in signal strength and battery power.”
