Razer has announced the world’s first mechanical keyboard at the Gamescom 2010. Dubbed as BlackWidow, it is claimed to be a ‘true’ mechanical keyboard that is specially engineered for gamers to give superior tactile feedback and comfort.

BlackWidow features a unique tactile mechanical key architecture along with the lightest actuation forces, enabling a crisp response, similar to a mouse click.

Moreover, BlackWidow also comes with programmable keys with on-the-fly macro recording and five gaming keys.

Razer also announced a high-end variant of BlackWidow, called as the BlackWidow Ultimate. The Ultimate edition boasts all the features of regular version but adds backlit keys with 5 levels of lighting, 3.5-inch audio and mic out and an additional USB port.

Both models will be available in September and BlackWidow will go for Rs. 4,899 ($80 in US) and BlackWidow for Rs. 7,299 ($130 in US).
