TDK announces 100GB BDXL disc, coming out this September

TDK joins Sharp as one of the providers of the new BDXL discs. Although Sharp will get a head start by selling the new format discs from this month, TDK’s offering will start retailing from September.
The BRV100HCPWB1A from TDK will be a write-once Blu-ray disc that comes in 3 layers, allowing to store up to 100GB of data. Four layer discs will be released in the near future that will hold up to 128GB data.
No word on the price yet.
