Cisco has launched a new dual-band router for the Indian market. It’s the Linksys WAP610N that works on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies and allows you to change the frequency if there’s too much crowding or interference. The router also supports 802.11n and is touted to have an in-built Digital Signal Processor (DSP) that optimizes and sends higher throughput within a given range, which is apt for streaming HD videos on the network or VoIP telephony.

Additionally, WAP610N comes with Windows and Mac compatible setup wizard and has Wi-Fi Protected Setup that automatically creates a secure wireless connection with a push of a button.

Cisco will sell the Linksys WAP610N router for Rs. 6,499.
