Nikon is preparing to unveil a digital camera-cum-projector hybrid this month. This claim comes from a French photography magazine, Chasseur d’Images who published Nikon D3000 and D300s specs before the official announcement and thus, proving that their word might not be fake after all.

According to them, Nikon’s code-named VP650 will be showed this month while the retail sales will start from September. It will be a compact camera that will be able project 8×12 images with the help of an integrated LED projector.

The camera will be manufactured by Taiwan-based FoxLink that was in the news recently for purportedly working with Apple, Nokia, Samsung and others on their micro-projector based phones.
