HP Mini 5101 Netbook

HP has expanded its Mini PC netbook as well as ProBook line to cater to the business users. The Mini 5101 upgrades over the current Mini lineup with the use of durable materials as well as the specs. The netbook’s durable prowess comes from the integration of anodized aluminum display enclosure, magnesium alloy in the lower case of the Mini frame and a spill resistant keyboard.

The specifications include a 10.1-inch screen with the regular netbook resolution (1024×600) or can be upgraded to an HD resolution (1366×768), 1.66GHz Intel N280 processor, up to 2GB RAM, up to 320GB HDD with 3D DriveGuard, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, 2MP webcam, USB ports, memory card reader, Windows XP and a 4-cell battery. The optional upgrade include an 80GB SSD, HP mobile broadband, choice of going with a Linux or FreeDOS OS and a 6-cell battery.

The Mini 5101 netbook will start shipping from late July with a starting price of $449.
