Kodak unveils Z980, M830 and Zx1 cameras

Kodak revealed two new digital cameras and a HD video recorder at the just concluded CES. First is the Z980 that offers a nice 26mm wide angle with support of up to 24X optical zoom Schneider-Kreuznach lens and 12 megapixel sensor. There’s also a 3-inch display, SDHC support and Smart Capture feature that adjusts the camera’s settings automatically. It will be available from Spring 2009 at $400.

Hailing from the M-Series, M380 point and shoot also saw the light of the day. This 10MP sensor again boasts the Smart Capture feature and has up to 5X optical zoom with a 3-inch LCD. It will come in March for $179.

The last one to launch was Zx1, a high definition video recorder with a small footprint and rugged body. Zx1 can record videos at 720p (30 or 60 fps) and features one-touch share button to upload it on YouTube and other video sharing sites. It has a 2-inch LCD, SD/SDHC card support and bundled HDMI cable for quick playback on a HDTV. Zx1 will retail from April 2009 carrying a price tag of $150.
