Sure, it ain’t iPhone but Viewty from LG laid the path for a better future for the Korean company. They have announced that Viewty has crossed the 5 million sales figure in a span of under 15 months. Korea accounted for around 350,000 units while Europe for a massive 260 million units and the rest were sold worldwide.

With the arrival of its 5-megapixel phone, LG proved to be a serious competitor in the highly competitive cell phone market. Viewty was followed by Renoir (KC910) and KC780, LG’s 8-megapixel offerings.
