RIM patents flip-out SureType keyboard

Add this one to the long list of strangest patents filed. A new patent filed by RIM hints about a future device (if any) with a flipped out SureType keyboard. The original design makes the phone look and work like any other alphanumeric phone, but flipping the two rows, transforms it into a SureType enabled device for messaging pleasure.

The idea is pretty innovative but RIM, please, don’t take it too seriously.
