Chromebook Plus now comes with Google AI features

Chromebook Plus will now come integrated with Google AI integrated. Chromebook Plus offers new Google AI and gaming features. Additionally, all Chromebooks now come with enhanced tools and Google integrations to streamline tasks.

Some new features that Chromebook Plus will come with:

Help me write: Utilize Google AI to enhance your writing, whether it’s a website review, a rental application PDF, or any web app. Right-click for suggestions, change the tone, or generate text from scratch. Rewrite your text to be more formal, concise, or entirely different.

Custom wallpapers and video call backgrounds: Create unique backgrounds using generative AI for any video conferencing app. Select from a range of prompts, and let Google AI do the rest.

Magic Editor on Google Photos: Available exclusively on Chromebook Plus, this feature allows you to edit photos with ease. Select a photo, tap “Magic Editor,” and use simple gestures to reposition, resize, and enhance your images.

Gemini on Chromebook Plus: For brainstorming or planning, chat with Gemini directly from home screen. Access Gemini Advanced, 2TB of storage, and integration with Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, and more, free for 12 months with the Google One AI Premium plan.

New Features for All Chromebooks

All Chromebooks are now equipped with enhanced Google integrations to boost productivity:

Easy setup with Android phones: Set up your new Chromebook by scanning a QR code with your phone, which will share Wi-Fi and Google account credentials.

Google Tasks integration: Access your tasks directly from the home screen. Add or check off to-dos, synced across Google Workspace apps and devices.

GIF screen recording: Use the built-in screen capture tool to save recordings as GIFs for easy sharing.

Game Dashboard: Enhance your gaming with features like mapping game controls, making mobile games playable with your keyboard.

Future updates will bring even more functionality like Help me read with Gemini that will summarize websites or PDFs and ask follow-up questions for deeper understanding, Seamless continuation of tasks that picks up where you left off across windows, tabs, and apps, with suggestions from other devices, focus mode to set a task, choose a YouTube Music playlist, and enable Do Not Disturb to concentrate better and Hands-free control to use face and gesture tracking for hands-free operation, enhancing accessibility.
