Yamaha unveils two AV receivers in India

January 22, 2021 By Kunal Gangar Leave a Comment

Yamaha Music has added two new AV receivers to its lineup for the Indian market. The RX-V4A and RX-V6A are said to be built on the “foundation of performance and power” with its support for the latest technologies and features.

For instance, the RX-V4A comes with four inputs and RX-V6A boasts seven, out of which all four and three inputs support 8K respectively. The AV receivers also support HDMI 2.1 (which will be enabled via a firmware update) that makes it compatible for new generation gaming consoles bringing features like auto low latency mode (ALLM), variable refresh rates (VRR), quick frame transport (QFT), quick media switching (QMS), eARC and HDR10+.

The 7.2-ch 100-watt RX-V6A also comes with extra bells and whistles compared to the 5.1-ch 80-watt RX-V4A, including Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization.

As far as common features are concerned, both receivers support MusicCast capabilities and app control, including Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, built-in music streaming services and multi-room audio along with MusicCast Surround that allows wireless MusicCast speakers to be paired and used as surrounds in a 5.1-ch. setup without the need for speaker wire to the AV receiver.

The RX-V6A is priced at Rs. 64,490 and the RX-V4A sells for Rs. 47,490.
