Sony launches BRAVIA A9F Master series OLED Android TVs

September 17, 2018 By Anish Leave a Comment

Sony today announced the A9F BRAVIA OLED Android Smart TV. Available in two screen sizes, 65-inch and 55-inch the Smart TVs run on Android Oreo. Both TVs have resolution of 4K HDR. The Master series is powered by X1 Picture Processor and comes with multi-dimensional sound with Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology.  With this technology, there is an additional actuator in the center of the screen and an extra subwoofer channel that makes a 3.2 channel sound system. The additional center actuator acts just like center speakers hidden behind an AT (acoustically transparent) screen which are found in movie theaters. The new series also has a TV Center Speaker Mode that allows the Acoustic Surface Audio+ to be used as the center speaker of a home theater system which further enables users to hear dialogue, vocals and instruments with exceptional clarity.

With this Master series, Sony introduces the Netflix calibrated mode that delivers the same picture quality as a studio evaluation master for TV.  The series also features Pixel Contrast Booster, Hands-free voice search functionality and supports DTS audio. The TVs come with 16GB of internal storage and also features built-in Cromecast.

The 55-inch model KD-55A9F will retail for Rs. 3,99,990 and the 65-inch vesion KD-65A9F will retail for Rs. 5,99,990. These TVs will be available from 20 September.
