UPDATE: Whatsapp has announced the service. Web client won’t work for iOS users as Whatsapp blames it to “Apple platform limitations.”
A leaked set of screenshots headed our way yesterday showing how Whatsapp will work on the web through a PC. Well, the link that gives access to the Whatsapp Web service is now accessible and it works only on Google Chrome.
Although the feature is not yet live on the mobile app, once activated, users will be able to access Whatsapp Web by scanning the QR code from their Whatsapp-enabled smartphone to automatically login and send/receive messages from the browser.
Accessing Whatsapp from a device like PC other than the mobile device has been one of the most sought features for the world’s widely used messaging app.
I tested it and it is awesome, a good feature added by Whatsapp! Waiting for its call feature.
