Zebronics Power Grid 7200mAh Review

May 28, 2013 By Kunal Gangar 1 Comment

Zebronics Power Grid

Given the advancements in smartphones these days, we’re seeing little to no improvement when it comes to the main thing that powers them – the battery. This has resulted in the rise of portable battery packs and one of the newest entrants to offer this is Zebronics.

They launched their Power Grid portable charger in different capacities and we take a look at the highest available capacity – 7200mAh.

The design of the Power Grid varies according to the SKU you go for and in the case of Power Grid 7200mAh charger, Zebronics has adopted a square design. Despite some decent capacity, the portable charger is compact enough to slip in pockets, allowing users to charge on-the-go.

The front end of the Power Grid sports the power button, which is surrounded by the LED lights indicating the capacity left. On the side, you’ll find all the necessary ports like two full size USB 2.0 ports – one for smartphone charging (1.0A) and another for higher-capacity 2.1A charging for tablets, microUSB port for charging.

Zebronics Power Grid

The packaging includes an AC adapter, single USB cable with a detachable microUSB and miniUSB pin. Sure, most of the times, you’d use the smartphone/tablet manufacturer supplied cable but Zebronics’ decision to include a single one is disappointing. Add to it, the detachable pins that can be easy to lose due to its size.

On the performance front, we did face some quick discharging issues initially but things improved as we started using it frequently. The Power Grid works as expected and the good part is that you can charge two devices at the same time.

Power Grid is priced at Rs. 1,999 on Zebronics’ web store and comes with a 1-year warranty.
