Linksys WRT160NL

Cisco has announced a new wireless router in India that promises to do a lot more than just enabling wireless internet access. The Linksys WRT160NL comes with a processor and OS of its own to allow users to harness the full potential of the device as a router and as a media server.

It has a 400MHz processor, 8MB flash memory and 32MB RAM that runs Linux and integrates Storage Link port letting users attach USB storage (FAT16, FAT32 or NTFS) of their choice to stream content to PCs or UPnP AV digital media devices.

On the wireless front, it supports 802.11n and comes with two R-SMA antenna connectors for users to attach extra antennae to enhance range.

The WRT160NL router with Storage Link is currently selling for Rs. 7,499.
