Android phone users have always complained about OS updates from phone manufacturers. Not many smartphone manufacturers support their models, unlike Apple who delivers OS updates to its devices that are older than 3 years.
After Samsung, many Android phone manufacturers are catching up with this by offering three years of OS updates. vivo recently announced that it will expand its software support for its flagship X series phone. vivo will provide three years of major Android OS upgrades and security updates for selected models launching after July 2021.
The updates will be received in the European, Australian, and Indian markets. The premium X series models that are not eligible will continue to receive regular Android security updates.
