Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 9 with 5020mAh battery

Xiaomi has announced an addition to its Redmi Note series phone with the Redmi Note 9. The phone is powered by MediaTek Helio G85 processor and has a screen size of 6.53-inch. In comparison to the Redmi Note 8, Note 9 has a 21% increase in performance as per Xiaomi. The phone runs on massive 5020mAh battery that can last for two days, depending on the usage. It also supports 22.5W fast charging, the charger is bundled in the box. At the same time, the phone also supports 9W reverse charging via the Type-C port.

In terms of camera capabilities, Redmi Note 9 comes with a 48-megapixel that uses Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM1 sensor, 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, 2-megapixel macro and 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera is 13-megapixel. Xiaomi also includes the 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom and an infrared sensor on top.

Redmi Note 9 features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front, is P2i water-resistant coating, 4µm pyrolytic sheet, as well as reinforced corners to protect against accidental drops and splashes.

Redmi Note 9 will be available in three colour variants, Pebble Grey, Arctic White, and Aqua Green in 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, 4GB RAM and 128GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. The variants are priced at Rs. 11,999, Rs. 13,499 and Rs. 14,999 respectively. The devices will be available across mi.com, Amazon India, Mi Homes and Mi Studios starting 24th July 2020.
