Access Alexa from various places at your home or office with Amazon Echo Flex

November 20, 2019 By Anish Leave a Comment

Have you ever wanted to power your house with Amazon Alexa’s voice assistant but could not afford multiple Amazon Echo Dot speakers? Worry not, Amazon has announced the availability of Amazon Echo Flex which directly plugs into an electrical outlet giving you access to Alexa and control your smart devices like Smart Bulbs, Purifiers and more. The Echo Flex looks like a bulky charger and comes with a USB port rated at 7.5W power for charging phones or other devices.

The Echo Flex plugs into any standard electrical outlet and works with devices such as smart lights and plugs from brands including Philips, SYSKA LED, Oakter, TP-Link and more. You can also make announcements on other Echo devices and add items to the shopping list or check the latest score of your favourite sports team, and responses will come through the speaker on the device that’s been optimized for Alexa’s voice. Just like other Echo devices, you can connect the Echo Flex to your preferred speakers using Bluetooth or a 3.5-mm audio cable for higher audio output.

For privacy, Echo Flex includes a microphone off button that electronically disconnects the microphone. Additionally, you can also view, hear, and delete your voice recordings from Alexa Privacy Settings or in the Alexa app at any time. The Amazon Echo Flex is available for pre-order starting today and will ship next month. As a limited period offer, customers can avail of a Wipro 9W Smart LED bulb worth Rs. 2,099 for no additional cost on the purchase of every Echo Flex.
