Xiaomi launches new Mi gaming laptops in China

Xiaomi launched it’s Mi Gaming Laptop 2019 in China. The laptop features the 15.6-inch screen which sports the 81% screen-to-body ratio and 72% color gamut like its predecessors, however, it now comes with 144Hz refresh rate which will give a smoother gaming experience.

There are three versions of the laptop. The Top-end model that features the 9th Gen Intel Core i7-9750H processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTXTM 2060, 16GB(2 x 8GB) DDR4 RAM (2666MHz), 512GB PCIe SSD storage and 144Hz High Refresh Rate Full HD display.

The mid-tier model or the high-end version specifications are the same as the top-end model but differs on the graphics card, that is powered by NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti.

The entry-level or the base model is powered by 9th Gen Intel Core i5-9300H processor, 8GB DDR4 RAM, and 512GB SSD as storage. The graphics in this laptop is handled by NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti.

All the laptops feature dual-band WI-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, 2 x 3W speakers, Dolby Audio, and a 1-megapixel HD webcam. There are 4 x USB 3.0 ports and other standard connectivity like Ethernet port, HDMI port, a card reader and a microphone port and audio jack for earphones. The LED-backlit keyboard on the laptops offers 3 different modes and a glass touchpad. The battery life of the laptops is around 4.5 hours on the 55Whr battery.

The Mi Gaming Laptop 2019 base model will retail for ¥7499/~$1100, the high-end model will sell for ¥8599/~$1240. The top of the line version laptop will be available only via pre-order on Mi.com and will sell for ¥8999/~$1290. The date of the sale is yet to be revealed.
