ASUS launches 6z featuring motorised flip camera

June 20, 2019 By Anish Leave a Comment

ASUS today launched its flagship phone, the 6z. One of the highlights of the phone is the motorised flip camera that houses a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor and a 13-megapixel 125* ultrawide secondary camera. The motorised flip camera is powered by a precision motor that flips the camera to 180* making it a front camera. Besides this, the rotation of the camera is controllable.

The phone is powered by Snapdragon 855 processor and a large 5000mAh battery that supports quick charging via the 18W bundled charger. The screen size of the phone is 6.4-inch, thanks to the motorised camera, the phone does not feature a notch and has an edge-to-edge display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6. In terms of sound quality, the ASUS 6z features dual NXP smart amplifiers, it also supports Hi-Res Audio files encoded at up to 24-bit/192KHz sample rates. The ASUS 6z comes with a 3.5-mm headphone jack which many manufacturers have opted to do away with. The phone also supports DTS Headphone:X for 7.1-channel virtual surround-sound over headphones, with Bluetooth 5.0 Apt:X technology. ASUS bundles a set of earphones in the retail package which is a good move. This earphone supports Hi-Res Audio, which are tuned by the headphone company 1MORE. The ASUS 5z also features FM radio.

ASUS 6z features a rear finger print sensor. The phone comes with dual SIM support and a separate micro-SD card slot to expand the storage. ASUS 6z will be available in three variants, 6GB /64GB for Rs. 31,999, 6GB/128GB for Rs. 34,999 and the 8GB/256GB for Rs. 39,999 from June 26, 2019 on Flipkart.
