Xiaomi is going to launch its 4G smart feature phone the Qin AI. This feature phone was crowdfunded in the Youpin crowdfunding platform. The Qin AI features artificial intelligence for real-time multi-lingual voice translation. It supports 17 languages.
The phone will be launched in two versions, the Qin 2G version and Qins 4G version. The phone features a 2.8-inch IPS display with Corning Gorilla glass protection. As you can see in the picture, the phone is a candy-bar shaped one with buttons like a conventional feature phone. The phone also supports Dual-SIM, features Wi-Fi, IR blaster to use it as a remote control. The battery in the phone is 1480mAh that can offer 15 days standby time and 420 minutes of calling time. The device uses Type-C port for charging.
Starting from 199 yuan (approx Rs. 2,000), for the Qin 2G phone and 299 yuan (approx Rs. 3,000) for the Qins 4G version, the phone will be available from 15 September 2018. However, this is a third-party phone and provided by Shenzhen Duojia Technology Co., Ltd. It would be interesting to see if Xiaomi comes up with this phone in India as JioPhone has gained acceptance in the Indian market.
