Vivo launches its flagship smartphone NEX in India

Vivo has been on innovation spree, first the in-display fingerprint and now a phone with a motorised camera that elevates for shooting. The NEX has garnered a lot of attention internationally, today Vivo launched it in India. NEX features a 6.59-inch display with 91.24% screen-to-body ratio. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor, 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The battery is rated at 4000mAh and features Type C connectivity for charging.

The highlight of the phone is the elevating motorised camera that comes up automatically once you press the camera icon. The NEX features an 8-megapixel front camera and 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel dual rear cameras. The rear cameras are equipped with OIS technology. The camera also features AI that enables to distinguish between photo conditions. It also suggests filters after identifying the photo. Features such as Live Photo, Face Beauty, Backlight HDR, Portrait Bokeh, Panorama, AR Stickers, Filters, Slow motion, Backlight, Timelapse etc. are present. NEX also features a dedicated AI button on the left side of the phone, its AI is called Jovi. Just press and hold this button and Google Assistant is at your service. NEX also comes loaded with Google lens.

Vivo NEX will be available on Amazon and other offline stores. It will be available in Black colour only from 21 July. The price of the phone is Rs. 44,990 and comes with launch offers like an instant cashback of Rs. 4,000 on HDFC credit and debit cards, one-time free screen replacement and no cost EMI up to 12 months.

In line with its commitment towards “Make in India” initiative, the flagship device is being manufactured at the company’s facility in Greater NOIDA, India.
