Xiaomi today announced the availability of the successor of its phablet phone Mi Max, the Mi Max 2. The Mi Max 2 features a 6.44-inch display with a massive 5300mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and parallel charging, this means that the phone will not heat-up and the charger will take on some heat. Xiaomi claims that the battery offers 57 hours of talk time and standby time of 31 days. It is a dual-SIM phone running on MIUI8 with Android 7.1.1. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The Mi Max 2 also comes with one-hand mode that allows you to use the phone with a single hand. This is a software feature.

The rear camera is 12-megapixel SONY IMX386 and the front is 5-megapixel. Xiaomi has also made the phone slimmer as compared to the predecessor. This big screen entertainer is definitely for those who watch a lot of digital content on phone and do not want to invest in a tablet. Besides this, the Mi Max 2 features Stereo speakers and also comes with IR Blaster to use it as a remote control.

The Mi Max 2 is a Made in India phone and will retail for Rs.16,999. The phone will be available on Mi.com from 21 July and other online sites and offline stores from 27 July. The phone will be available in Gold and Black colours. Xiaomi has also partnered with Jio that offers additional 100GB 4G data to anyone who buys Mi Max 2 by recharging with Rs.309 or more for 10 recharges.
