Sony announces Xperia XZ with triple sensor camera

Xperia XZ is a 5.2-inch full HD display phone powered by 2.15GHz 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 64GB internal memory and 3GB RAM. The Xperia XZ features a full metal body and also sports the unique fingerprint scanner on the power button in the side. Xperia XZ has a 2900 mAh battery with Qnovo Adaptive Charging and Battery Care that optimizes battery charging based on user behavior and battery condition, to deliver up to two times battery life span. It is also IP65/68 water-resistant.

The Sony Xperia XZ is a dual SIM (GSM) smartphone that accepts a Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and NFC. Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope. It comes with Type-C USB for charging.

The major highlight of the phone is that it features a 23-megapixel camera with triple image sensing technology and 13-megapixel wide angle front camera. It also features 5-axis video stabilisation. The phone also supports 4K video recording.

The device runs Android Marshmallow and Android Nougat will be available via firmware upgrade in the coming months.

Xperia XZ can be pre-booked for Rs. 49,990 at all Sony Centers, select retail outlets and online exclusively on Amazon.in from 1st October to 10th October 2016. As a pre-booking offer, customers will get SmartBand Talk – SWR30 worth Rs. 8,990 free. Buyers also get Sony Liv subscription worth Rs. 349 for 3 months and Modern Combat 5 Gameloft credits worth Rs. 780.
