Gionee wants people to experience VR on its S6 Pro

Gionee has extended its S series line by introducing the S6 Pro. The highlight of the phone is that it supports Virtual-Reality(VR) and the phone comes pre-installed with Gionee VR app.

S6 Pro features a 5.5-inch full HD display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection. The company claims that it also features real-time pixel processing engine which dynamically controls sharpness, contrast and colour to enhance picture quality. Powering the device is the octa-core processor clocking at 1.8Ghz that is supported by 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage (expandable upto 128GB). The S6 Pro is a dual-SIM phone with 4G and VoLTE support and comes with a fingerprint scanner. The phone runs on Android Marshmallow with Amigo 3.2 UI and features 3130mAh battery.

Gionee has introduced a split-screen feature in the phone that allows the user to watch video while receiving notifications in VR mode. The S6 Pro comes with a 13-megapixel Sony IMX258 sensor camera and 8-megapixel front camera with selfie screen flash.

As an introductory offer, Saavn will provide a free three month subscription of ‘Saavn Pro’ to S6 Pro users. S6 Pro will be available across India in colour variants of Gold and Rose Gold, at a price of Rs.23,999 and the VR Set will be available for Rs.2,499. The device will be available for sale starting 1st October 2016 across stores.
