Recently, Sony invited beta testers to try out the upcoming PS4 software update and it seems Sony is ready to share the upcoming build along with some of the features that are expected in the v3.50 update. Codenamed Musashi, the new update will bring some interesting features including the highly anticipated PS4 Remote Play feature on PC and Mac. While the beta software release won’t have this feature enabled, Sony says to “look forward”, suggesting the feature could still be in experimental stages or they’ve already perfected it to keep it under wraps.

PS4 Remote Play on PC and Mac will be a great addition and will actually one up Xbox One that can do the same but only with a Windows 10 PC.

In addition to this, users can expect Dailymotion support and some social-centric features like appearing offline, show online to select friends, a scheduled user event and Play Together.

Selected beta testers should receive an email soon instructing on how to download the latest firmware.

Quite a lot has been happening on the PlayStation front. The most recent news is the demise of Sony’s PlayStation TV that supported PS4 Remote Play other than Sony Xperia devices.
