For the past few weeks, Micromax-owned YU was asking customers what and how the new phone should be and today at a big event in the Indian capital, YU announced Yuphoria. The phone is priced at Rs. 6,999, YU touts the phone’s metal ring and two premium colour options (Buffed Steel & Champagne Gold).
At this price, the phone is packed with some meaty features like Android Lollipop-based Cyanogen OS 12, Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB RAM, 4G LTE support, 5-inch HD IPS display 16GB internal memory and 2230mAh battery.
On the camera side, there’s an 8 megapixel f/2.2 sensor at the back and 5 megapixel fixed focus on the front whereas the audio front is controlled with a Pure Wolfson Sound chip and AAC speakers.
The phone will be sold exclusively through Amazon.in and will sell from May 28. Interested users can register themselves from 5PM today.
