Asus ROG TYTAN G30

Consoles may have made their way into consumer’s living room but ask any avid gamer and he’ll confirm how PC gaming is superior compared to the gaming consoles. Asus has a brand called Republic of Gamers (ROG) dedicated to it and today we take a look at its high-end gaming machine – ROG TYTAN G30.

Asus does not bundle a monitor with the G30 but tries to bring in all the top-end components for a complete gaming experience.

Asus ROG TYTAN G30

The chassis of the G30 exudes performance that is designed in a polygonal exterior and features inbuilt lighting indicators to indicate the overclocking modes from standard blue to overclocked red with LED lights. The chassis also features strategically placed vents that brings in cool air from the front and exhausts out the hot air from the back. The G30 also boasts a Blu-ray writer but is hidden behind the (push back) front side of the G30 for a cleaner, streamlined look.

As for the I/O ports, TYTAN G30 has plenty with two USB 2.0, two USB 3.0 ports, card reader, a microphone and a headphone jack on the front while four USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, PS/2, HDMI-out, D-Sub, DVI-D, RJ45 Ethernet, 8 channel audio and S/PDIF out ports at the back.

Asus ROG TYTAN G30

The G30 is equipped with 4th gen Intel Core i5 or 7 processors starting with 4GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM and goes up to 32GB. You can even go with a choice of Nvidia GeForce GPUs like 2GB GTX670/GTX680 or the 3GB GTX660/GTX760, which means there are no surprises that working or gaming on the G30 is a breeze. We tried Metro 2033, Crysis 3 and Anomaly 2 and G30 delivered on all fronts without flinching or slowing down the machine.

The gaming PC is also equipped with Windows 8.1 out of the box and allows overclocking the Core i7 processor without having to reboot to a maximum clock speed of 4.1GHz.

Moreover, the G30 is packed with SonicMaster audio tech, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.0, ensuring Asus hasn’t cut any corners when it comes to integrating prevalent connectivity options and technology.

The G30 starts from Rs. 1,13,499 and though it expensive than a gaming console, the G30 offers speed and performance you expect from a gaming PC. What’s more is its future-proof since it makes upgrades easy.
